I was drawn to the idea behind this book. However the execution just didn't do it for me. There were contradicting thoughts that really set the story back. For example early in the book Lexie says she's not very close to Kayla and gives good reason why and seems ok with whatever punishment Devil wants to take against Kayla, but later she displays actions that would make them appear closer. The entire six months that Lexie stripped she never got fully nude. However after one fight with Devil she took it all off in front of the entire MC. Another big thing that didn't work for me is how the baby, Simon, was just a plot device to introduce Devil into Lexie's life. For the two months (I guess) they were together we don't see interaction with the three of them as a family, what Lexie's does now that she's no longer stripping, or how Devil adjusts to fatherhood. I like to see that in books with babies. Also a little pet peeve is that I don't think Lexie knew Devil's real name. It's mentioned once in the book and not around her.

I just don't think this book is worth the $4.99 I paid. If this book was less than that or available on KU, I still don't think I would like it, but I would feel better about having read it.

Chaos Bleeds is an exciting new series from Sam Crescent. It may sound like a rock group; but it is most definitely not! This series is a spin-off series from The Skulls series. Chaos Bleeds is the name of a hard core Motorcycle Club. If you have been following the Skulls series, then you know that their club is filled with some hot alpha males like Tiny, Murphy, and Nash...just to name a few. With this new series we are following the leader of Chaos Bleeds, and his name is Devil. I will start off by saying that Devil is very hard core alpha, and not everyone is going to like him. He tends to be brutal, and he takes what he wants and makes no excuses. This guy is rough, tough, and majorly possessive; but underneath that gritty exterior is a man who seeks justice for the innocent and truly does have a good heart. {but just don't tell anyone; because he really doesn't want people to know this!} I am enjoying the MC series that Sam Crescent is creating. I have fallen in love with the charactors, and I didn't think the Skulls could be topped; but I was wrong..I devoured Devil's book, and I can't wait for Ripper's to come out!

Devil's Charm starts off with two sisters. One who is a drug addict tart. Kayla got herself knocked up with Devil's son; but doesn't want the responsibility of raising a kid, so she drops the baby off on her sister Lexie's doorstep. Lexie is a sweetheart and in no way can say no to Kayla so she now has a kid she needs to figure out how to support. To try and find a job has been a nightmare for her; but she ends up stripping for a living so that she can support the little baby that she has grown to love and protect. What Lexie never predicted was the leader from a motorcycle club coming to demand his son back. When Devil and Lexie get together sparks fly, and Devil decides that he needs to own Lexie. He will not take no for an answer. When these two give in to their desires, they set a blaze going like I have rarely read. WHEW! These two are on fire together, and Devil knows what he wants and makes absolutely no apologies for his desires. His desire to own Lexie shocks Devil; but he runs with it and takes her whenever he wants her. Will Lexie continue to accept Devil's possessive attitude? Do these two have a future together? And what about Kayla? Will she come back for her son, or will she continue to be a dead beat mom?

My one and only concern with this book was the fact that the instant attraction and fast pace that Devil and Lexie fall for each other was a little bit unrealistic. I stopped myself though from judging that too harshly as it is a book and I love a good story! Bottom line is that I love reading about hard core Alpha guys most of the time, and I especially love it when they are super possessive. So I just sat back and enjoyed the book, and tried not to judge too harshly!! I mainly bring it up because I know some readers that do not like the whole "insta love" scenario.. I am hooked though on both Sam Crescent's MC series, and she has earned a fan of her work in me. Next up is Ripper, and I can't wait to see what is in store for him!!
I actually liked this one. It was tough and yet at times tender and had everything I look for in a biker romance. Devil and Lexie made the perfect (if not crazy) pair...she was taking care of the baby her sister abandoned and he was the father of that child, and had been searching for him and his whore of a mother. Running into Lexie at a strip club was an accident but a happy one for him...and what follows (though predictable) was exciting and I loved how it ended. Looking forward to reading more in this series one day if they go on sale like this one did (there are way too many of them to catch up!).

Devil, Devil is one dirty raw biker. If you read Crescent's Skulls MC then you have heard of Devil. Well this is his story and let's face it he does what he wants , takes what is given freely and doesn't back down from a fight. Lexie is the female lead, she is innocent in ways, but she is strong willed. Devil will bring out all of his charms to win her over, he never wanted an old lady or to settle down but one look at Lexie and he whole world is about to come apart.

This story is sexy, raw and beautiful. The storyline is about Chaos Bleeds finding a home and setting down roots. Life on the road is getting to Devil he is ready to settle and Lexie is just the push he needs. Happy Reading!!!
